Tai Chi and qigong are powerful arts that can help us heal on all levels and have fun doing so.
Whether you're seeking gentle and effective exercise, pain management, improved balance, strength, mobility, and flexibility, mental clarification on your path, or the next step in your spiritual growth, practicing tai chi and qigong can help as it elevates all aspects of your being.
Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that is gaining popularity for its many health benefits including stress and anxiety relief, improved balance, circulation, flexibility, mind-body connection, and more. It is a complete system of exercise, in which mental focus, breathing, and movements are connected into a flowing form. I currently teach Yang style short form (24) for health and longevity (lineage: Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming) and The 5 Moving Forces (lineage: Chungliang Al Huang). In my classes you'll learn to move more efficiently, with softness and strength.
Qigong is the foundation of Tai Chi and has its roots in Chinese Medicine and Taoist philosophy. It imitates the movements of nature and is often considered a form of meditation. Qigong emphasizes the harmony and health of body, mind, and spirit. My weekly qigong classes range from standing routines to breathing exercises to acupressure to traditional practices such as The Healing Sounds, The Eight Pieces of Silk Brocade, and The Five Animal Frolics. All benefit health, happiness, and longevity.
Through regular Tai chi or Qigong practice you will open yourself to another level of healing and living and transform the way you move through life.
As a holistic healer, I teach 4 keys to optimal health: Diet, Quiet, Movement, and Happiness. When these aspects of an individual are balanced, good health and happiness abound and many ailments and dis-ease disappear. The modalities I use, Tai Chi, Qigong, The Optimal Health Cookbook, Shamanic healing, and Reiki, effectively address these 4 keys to health in a fun and easy way, allowing you to truly heal, come into our own, and move forward with ease.
